Professional die-cutting with a crucible press
We perform high-quality die-cutting with a crucible press of printing and forms for boxes for various products and gifts

Die-cutting is a service that is chosen to create the necessary forms of printed products. It is also used to apply perforation and running to products
For die-cutting, a crucible press is used – special production equipment, on which pre-made forms with blades for cutting shapes on the material are attached.
This happens under the force of pressure – two metal bases are pressed against each other, one with the appropriate form, the other with the fixed material.
During this procedure, a certain fragment of the future structure is cut out along the contour, internal die-cutting and notches are created, unique shapes are cut out, perforation and folding points are laid using the running method. Thanks to this service, tags, price tags, leaflets are cut out, and cardboard boxes with exact dimensions and proportional parts for the entire circulation are manufactured.

For all types of boxes, the production of which our company offers, you can choose the method of die-cutting parts under the press.
Die-cutting with a crucible press is successfully used in the preparation of material for round boxes, sliding structures, lid-bottom boxes, self-assembling models and other types.

What materials can be used for die-cutting with a crucible press?
For die-cutting with a crucible press, you can use paper, cardboard or corrugated cardboard of various thicknesses up to 3 mm. This can be a variety of paper, designer and binding cardboard, laminated material from two types of paper, etc. We also make die-cutting molds from plastic, leather, leatherette.
-
Do I need to pre-make dies for die-cutting?
Our assortment includes many ready-made dies for die-cutting of various products. When using them, payment is made only for the products. However, if you need to make an individual product, you need to prepare the appropriate die in advance. In this case, the cost of the die is calculated. It is reusable and allows you to save the budget for repeat orders, because you do not need to pay for the mold again.
-
Can die-cutting with a crucible press be used to make boxes?
Die cutting with a crucible allows you to get uniform and clear shapes, which are also suitable for assembling boxes. It provides a correct result, because boxes based on cut parts have exact dimensions. neat and proportional appearance. Therefore, the technology is actively used in the manufacture of boxes of various shapes and sizes.
-
What are the stages of box production using a crucible press?
First of all, it is important to determine all the parameters of the future product – materials, design, dimensions. We discuss all this during a consultation. Next, we select cardboard and, if necessary, carry out the necessary preparation – lamination, printing, etc. After that, we prepare a die for cutting so that it meets the required dimensions. We cut out the declared number of shapes for boxes with a crucible. The final stage will be the assembly, gluing and packaging of products for delivery.
-
Is it possible to combine die cutting with a crucible press with other printing methods, such as printing or embossing on boxes?
Yes, this service is compatible with our other services. You can pre-print the material in the desired color or print and perform die-cutting. Or prepare the molds, and then perform gold stamping. We will discuss all options to find the best solutions for the design of the boxes.
-
Can a crucible press be used to perform running?
Yes, the crucible press method allows you to use sharp knives to cut the material and blunt blades to lay down fold lines. Cutting can be done along the contour, by perforation, notches or internal die-cutting.
-
What are the minimum and maximum runs of die-cut boxes that can be ordered from Boxes?
At our production, you can order boxes wholesale in any quantity from 100 pieces. The crucible press allows you to perform stamping of a large number of identical copies.
-
What does the cost of die-cutting depend on?
Various factors affect the cost of die-cutting services using a crucible press. In particular, the complexity of the stamp, the size of the die-cutting, the type of selected material, additional post-processing. With large runs, the cost of cutting one shape decreases, because the total cost of production costs is distributed over a larger number of products.

The role of die-cutting with a crucible press in the manufacture of durable boxes and other printed products
Die-cutting with a crucible press is a printing technology that consists in the process of cutting a given shape from sheet material. A fragment is pressed out using a die with knives. Under pressure, the material is cut in the appropriate places and the desired shape of the finished printed product or a fragment for assembling a future box is formed. Boxes provides professional die-cutting services and offers a wide range of ready-made dies and materials for cutting.
How does a crucible press work?
The cutting procedure takes place on a crucible press. This is a special device with two metal plates:
- a fixed surface on which the stamp is fixed;
- a movable plate for fastening the material.
The movable base is pressed under pressure against the plate with the shape, and a fragment is squeezed out on the paper depending on the given shape. The sides and the smallest details are cut evenly, and lines are also laid for bending the workpiece.
To perform this procedure, you need to:
- Prepare the die – place the knives in a certain pattern to cut out the desired shape.
- Place the material. This can be a sheet of paper, cardboard or corrugated cardboard of various densities, from 0.3 to 3 mm, as well as plastic, leather, leatherette or self-adhesive paper.
- Carve out. The two plates are closed and the knives push through the shape under pressure.
After cutting, the excess parts of the material are removed around the cut out figure and a clear shape with even lines is obtained.
For which products can die-cutting be used?
Die-cutting with a die-cutting press is used to create:
- price tags, labels and tags;
- business cards;
- postcards;
- folders and hangers;
- puzzles and other unique shapes.
This technology also allows you to produce boxes, make fragments for assembling future structures.
Boxes offers to produce shapes that the customer wants. Die-cutting shapes can be cut along the contour, contain notches, internal cuts of various shapes and sizes, running, perforation. We have a large selection of dies for die-cutting various products to choose from, or we can create an individual die according to your wishes.
Main advantages of die-cutting with a crucible press
Die-cutting with a crucible press has many advantages:
- the ability to give the printed form any appearance desired by the customer;
- creation of neat and precise shapes;
- achieving high detail and creating thin lines, notches and cut-out details in accordance with design decisions;
- cutting out any number of printed products;
- optimization of printing costs for large runs, because the stamp is reusable;
- use of dense materials that are difficult to handle manually.
Thanks to the flexibility of the technology and its capabilities, it will be possible to create a variety of shapes within the stamp surface of 480×680 mm.
This method cuts out immediately finished products, or fragments for assembling boxes of various shapes and parameters. The production of precise blanks has a positive effect on the subsequent assembly of structures, as the assembly becomes high-quality, and the boxes acquire a neat appearance. The capabilities of the crucible press allow you to create branded boxes of high strength.
You can order the production of die-cut boxes or use the services of die-cutting for other printed products from the Boxes company. Service and production are carried out by professional specialists who will select the necessary materials, advise and professionally perform all stages.
